Melita “Lynette” Schaefer was born and raised in rural Arkansas. She entered the US Army after high school. In the Army, she met her husband, Don, and they had three children, who have given them seven grandchildren. They settled in Montana in 2007, and it quickly became Home. She often says, “ I was not born in Montana, but I got here as soon as I could.” She and Don owned a small business in Missoula, Bulls Eye Wear. After the death of her husband of 37 years, she decided to make a new start and found that she loved helping others live the Montana Dream, so Real Estate was a natural Career for her. She is well-versed in the VA home buying process and, having experienced loss herself, is aware of the hardships of downsizing for empty nesters and the sale of a family home and property after a loss.
